]]> Recent news reports from Bihar are not encouraging at the moment with reports that the Indian state is suffering from bad seasonal monsoon flooding. The Duncan Hospital in badly affected by the floods and it is hampering their efforts to aid patients and the local community in general.

Staff at The Duncan work on resuscitating a baby while dirty water swirls around their feet during the recent monsoon flooding.

]]> As many of you know India has been hit heavily by Covid-19 and the effects of a lockdown imposed within four hours on the country’s population

Professor and Jackie Mackay only visited in February earlier this year. We were about to bring you videos of that trip with news of some of the exciting developments at the hospital. Since then though, coronavirus has swept the globe and The Duncan Hospital is facing the coming storm bravely but with no supplies of Personal Protective Clothing or ventilators to cope with growing numbers of very ill patients.

Corona has hit the people of India hard, especially the poorest.
