Flares, Funk, and Fundraising – A Groovy Night in Dunblane for The Duncan Hospital!

Dunblane in Scotland was transported back in time last weekend as disco fever swept through the town for an unforgettable DHCT 70s Night in aid of The Duncan Hospital. With flares, sequins, and platforms galore, the event was a dazzling success, raising an amazing £2,330, every penny of which will go directly to support the incredible staff and patients at The Duncan.

The evening was a riot of colour and creativity, with guests going all out to channel their inner 70s icons. From a Billy Connolly lookalike (complete with signature wild hair) to a rebellious Johnny Rotten, the outfits were as spectacular as the music. Bell-bottoms, psychedelic prints, and glitter ruled the dance floor as partygoers boogied the night away to the decade’s greatest hits.

But beyond the funky fashion and fantastic fun, the real success of the evening was the incredible generosity of everyone who came along. The funds raised will go a long way in supporting vital medical care at The Duncan Hospital, making a tangible difference in the lives of patients and staff in one of India’s most underserved regions.

A huge thank you to everyone who dressed up, danced, donated, and made the night one to remember including DHCT Trustees Prof Gordon and Jackie Mackay and Dr Graham and Karen Watson and friends and staff and supporters from The Giving Tree in Dunblane who enjoyed the night and who have already raised incredible amounts for our Sponsored Nurses Programme. Your support means the world, and we can’t wait for the next event – who’s ready to do it all again?

We hope you enjoy some of the fabulous fashions from the night!
